Welcome to STDiA — From Learning to Action

Did an STDiA trainee's post bring you here? Welcome!

Perhaps you saw a post about Mülltrennung, food waste, responsible consumption, climate justice or how our everyday actions connect us with the wider world.

Those posts are part of something bigger.

About STDiA

What is STDiA?

STDiA – Summer Training Camp for Diaspora as Actors of Global Learning is an educational initiative of Cagintua e.V.

STDiA brings together people from diaspora communities and different social backgrounds to learn, exchange experiences and strengthen their ability to become multipliers of Global Learning in their own communities.

At STDiA 2026, participants explored topics such as:

  • Global Learning and global interdependence
  • Climate justice
  • Sustainability
  • Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • Inclusion and social justice
  • Participation, communication and community action

But STDiA was never intended to end in the training room.

Learning → Multiplication

Why are STDiA trainees sharing these posts?

Because the next step is multiplication.

Participants are encouraged to take something meaningful from the training and share it with people in their own communities and networks.

That could be a community discussion, a short presentation or a digital activity.

So when an STDiA trainee shares a video, image, poll or question with you, they are putting their learning into practice.

Mülltrennung

Small Actions, Big Impact

How we handle waste is one of the everyday choices through which we can think about sustainability.

Food waste

Too Good to Waste

Why do we throw away food? What happens before and after food reaches our plates?

Responsible consumption

Before You Buy, Ask Why

Who made the products we buy? Where did the resources come from? And how are our choices connected with people elsewhere?

We Are All Connected

What happens to our waste?

Why do we throw away food?

Who made the products we buy?

Where did the resources come from?

How are our choices connected with people elsewhere?

And what can we change in our own communities?

A simple question can start a conversation.
A conversation can create awareness.
Awareness can influence everyday choices.
And small actions, multiplied across communities, can contribute to wider change.

STDiA believes that people do not have to be experts to contribute to Global Learning.

We can begin with our own experiences, listen to others, ask questions and connect what happens locally with what is happening globally.

Think global. Act local. Share what you learn.

Welcome to the STDiA community.
