Addressing the Climate Awareness Gap
Our latest project aims to bridge the gap in awareness and resources among migrant organizations in Brandenburg regarding climate change. There is a noticeable lack of coordinated efforts between newly established African migrant initiatives, other migrant organizations, and climate protection activists. This gap results in limited networking and idea exchange, hindering the effective participation of these organizations in climate action.
Project Objectives
- Enhancing Climate Awareness: Equip migrant organizations with the knowledge and resources needed to actively participate in climate protection initiatives.
- Fostering Collaboration: Increase networking and collaboration between migrant organizations, local NGOs in the south and climate activists.
- Building Advocacy Skills: Empower organizations to advocate for sustainable climate solutions effectively.
Target Groups
Our project focuses on:
- Newly established African migrant organizations in Brandenburg.
- Existing migrant organizations that can support and strengthen new initiatives.
- Climate protection activists who can provide expertise and foster collaboration.
Expected Outcomes
- Improved Climate Knowledge: Participants will gain a deep understanding of climate change, its impacts, and sustainable practices.
- Increased Engagement: Migrant organizations will be motivated to engage actively in climate protection.
- New Partnerships: Facilitated collaborations between migrant organizations and local NGOs in Africa, promoting joint climate action projects.
